Friends, please take a look and listen to the embedded video above. 2008 was actually a great year for zooomr; it was a year that we spent a lot of time working on the back-end, the very core of zooomr.
Now that we have that out of the way and taken care of, we’re steadily approaching Zooomr 09 and can’t wait to show you the vast improvements we’re making to the front-end interface of zooomr.
2009 is going to be a year of great change, and we’re excited to be changing together with all of you.
Friends, thank you for making Zooomr one of the best sites on the net.
It has certainly been a great pleasure sure been a great pleasure building the first unlimited, universal photo sharing site in the world!
Today, we’re we’ve pushed some smaller updates to the site and we’re completely excited about a new version of the site for 2009 that we’ve been building from the ground up!
And even though we’re really looking forward to the new year, we really could use some help from our wonderful community, as well.
In spite of the massive bandwidth bills we have to pay per month, we haven’t set any limits on how many photos you can upload or how big each photo is — we think that it’s great that hundreds of thousands of people to enjoy unlimited uploading for free — but what we’d absolutely love to see are more people going Pro on Zooomr.
Going Pro gives you better support and added features that make Zooomr an even more enjoyable experience and signing-up is a breeze! Simply visit the site below for more information:
I have to thank all of the kind people who have gone Pro over the years; Without their support I’m not so certain that Zooomr would be around today — Please make the difference, we’re counting on everyone’s support for a better Zooomr.
Wishing everyone a safe, fun and productive holiday season!
The first thing you’ll spot when you visit Zooomr is that the header bar has been completely redone. Sub-Menus allow easy access to all of the endless goodies Zooomr has to offer. The new header bar is completely themeable and dynamic. Lots of people are loving it.
Discover Beyond with Paging for Zooomr Discover
Zooomr Discover is where you can find all of the most awesome photos from the Zooomr Universe — but now it gets even better with the ability to go beyond the first page. You can view page two here.
Zooomr Undiscovered: Find something you haven’t Discovered before
Introducing Zooomr Undiscovered — A new feature-section on Zooomr that displays over one-hundred of the most awesome shots from people that you haven’t interacted with yet on Zooomr. With a universe of photos available on Zooomr, Undiscovered helps you locate awesome photographs that you probably haven’t seen on your Zipline.
Zooomr Awards: Show that You’re the Best!
We like to show our users how awesome they really are. One of the newest ideas that we came up with was Zooomr Awards — as photos become more and more popular, they receive awards for being the most viewed or reaching the most favorites. If a photo has awards, they are displayed on the right-hand side of the photo.
Wrap-up
I want to thank all of our users for all of the time and energy they spend on Zooomr. As we grow and grow, I’m always amazed at all of the awesome photographs that get shown in Discover.
Our team and I continue to work very hard for everyone; It is your kind words and photographs that keep us going strong every day: Thank-you for your support.
Please enjoy our hard work and I hope to see you on Zipline!
Every day, I feel lucky to have such great conversations with everyone on Zooomr. I am often surprised and moved by the generosity of our users and so it goes without saying that I am very appreciative. Thank-you for making Zooomr into one of the best places on the Internet.
Also, I’ve been mentioned lately in a few major publications in Japan and wanted to share some of that with you.
With that, I’ll try to blog more daily and post more videos about what we’re doing. Things are starting to stabilize, which means that I can spend more time again in constant communication!
Hi friends, there has been a bit of bumpiness on Zooomr recently. This is mostly due to a failure on our part to communicate that we were actually upgrading most of our core infrastructure — but now that is officially over, let’s start to enjoy life on Zooomr again!
This also means that we can get back to building new features and improving the software side of the service.
Friends, we’ve worked hard to get Zooomr 2008 up an running — now, let’s go take a small break and celebrate with a photowalk in Yokohama, Japan!
One of our local community orginizers, Chidorian-san, has put together a really awesome course for us to walk. Please take a look at the below map for a better idea of the walk:
Friends, Only three more hours to go! How are you holding up?? Are you excited? We are!
I’m hanging out with Kunix — we’re doing the last checks now; when we have about 30-60 minutes to go before launch, we’ll go live on Zooomr TV and start a countdown!
Friends, we’re coming up on a mere 11 hours to go! I wanted to show you another video on one of Zooomr 2008’s new features that let’s you create GeoZips instead of regular Zips on Zipline. The Video is below.
