Well we had quite a surprise when we got up this morning, for some reason today is the largest sign up day in the history of Zooomr for photographers coming from Germany!

We are pleased that so many of you have chosen to join Zooomr today and want to welcome you personally to the site. As a reminder, if you’d like to browse Zooomr in German just click on the “Deutsch” link at the bottom of the page.

Also we would invite you to check out our Zooomr German Blog.

    I’ll bet I know why ;-)

Seems that Thomas and Chris just ignored what the users wanted most and continuing boasting about the different translations of the website…

I really think that fixing some intolerable bugs should have the priority.

  3. Thomas Hawk Says:

CY, we are actively working on many of these bugs.

  4. CY Says:

    Dear Thomas,
I am sorry if you are not happy about my previous message. I do concern zooomr and I am still waiting to see a more complete product presented to all users. I personally see the potential of zooomr and it is the reason why I am still waiting here.
BTW, maybe you have your own idea about how to make profits, but I personally do not think the unlimited everything is a good idea. If one day you decide to charge for the pro membership, I will be the first one to pay… as long as all the functions of zooomr M3 are complete. Good luck!

  5. Thomas Hawk Says:

CY, thank you for your support. And please know that we are definitely working on fixing our bugs. Many, many, of them have actually been fixed in the last week. This in large part is why Zooomr has been as stable as it has been the past four or five days. We will work diligently to get our entire functionality back online.

In terms of Pro accounts. We will offer them. Rather than limit photos though we will offer many additional add on services and an advertising free experience for those users who are willing to support us this way. We will have our Pro accounts up soon as we do need money to keep on going.

    Thanks again for your support.

I wish I could sign up, I am not from Germany but I am sick of the attitude over at Flickr of being treated like mushrooms, kept in the dark and feed …well you know what.

I fill out the form and tick the box but the button at the of the page does not “enable”, I can only click the Cancel.

I am using IE7 on XP SP2 cause I am at work and can’t hook up my Linux laptop with Firefox.

    Thanks for welcoming me …

  8. Markus Merz Says:

The other guys made a BIG mistake by censoring access to pictures for the whole country of Germany. I hope zooomr is going to offer good value for all my Flickr friends from germany :-)

  9. Sam Says:

Thanks for translating. On the front page (logged out) it should be “Entdecke” or “Entdecken” instead of “Entdeckte”.

    ;-)

Don’t know what you are doing, but the only thing I and my friends here in Germany talk about when the discussion comes to zooomr are the fucked up smart sets ;-) ;-)

Anyway, congrats and great work until now. Zipline is amazing :)

Thank you for that ‘exclusve’ welcome! :-D

I have to admit that I was sceptical about Zooomr in my earlier flickr days (which are not so long ago) but I like what you have built. It is much nicer here than on flickr meanwhile, not only due to the recent censorship. I look forward to what you come up with in the future and congratulations on the tremendous job so far!

    Just registered! Thanks.

    Und es hat Zoomr gemacht!

The Signup Page should really work without Javascript, especially since a relaod does not help (you have to change every field to get a green mark).

Where can I modify my Profile pic?
