Immediate Launch FAQ

by Thomas Hawk | 3 June 2007 | General | 47 Comments

You can get a FAQ answering most questions about Zooomr here.

To answer some of the top questions though.

1. Where’s my Pro4Life account? We have a record of everyone who is Pro4Life and these icons will be appearing back with your name very shortly.

2. I want to merge my OpenID log-on to an email/pw log on. Can I do this?

Yes, but not today, very shortly. In the meantime please use your OpenID log on to use the site. New users can sign up with either OpenID or email/pw

3. I want to be able to restrict the size of my photos that people can see. Can I do this?

Very shortly you will be able to do this from the account settings page. It’s our top priority.

4. I want an avatar, where do I get one?

There is a tool to do this that will be added very shortly to any photo page.

5. I’m getting blank page loads or other problems including being logged out a lot.

Bear with us. Our servers are under a tremendous load today. We are heading down to the data center this morning to put more servers online.

6. What about RSS?

Yep, that’s coming back shortly.

7. I can’t get to my photos page.

Does your photo url or username have capital letters in it? This is a known bug that we are working on. If you can’t get into your photos and your url or user name uses capital letters please shoot us an email to tothetop@bbridgetech.com and we will get your account fixed.

    Thomas, Kris,
I can’t see my photos or my account details. I can log in. I can see Zipline, BUT when I click on “You” or “Groups” I get a page error “This Page was Not Found”. It would sure be nice if I could use my account.

How do I log in, I lost my OpenID details and can’t find anywhere a link for forgetting it and having it reset? :(

  16. AndrewB said on 3 Jun 2007 at 1:31 pm:

Scott, if you go to the OpenID provider you registered with e.g. www.myopenid.com , click sign in and they have a link entitled “recover account”. Most other OpenID providers will have something similar.

  17. Scott said on 3 Jun 2007 at 1:43 pm:

Congratulations guys! You’ve really had lots of trouble, but it seems you survived and now you’re stronger than ever.

True, the site is awfully slow right now, but I’m pretty sure that you’ll get it working.

It must had been a scary experience, but I’m glad you solved the problems and are back now.

Zooomr is great. It’s still young, but MIII shows a great improvement comparing it to the older version. I’m really loving it.

    Congrats again!

    Thank you for Mark III,

There seems to be a prob with the Sign-Up page and InternetExplorer 6: The ‘Let’s Start This Thing’ button stays grayed out.
I tried it with Firefox 1.5 and it worked just fine.
