i was at first saying “yeah i can wait” but can i really?
if my 3g plan was billed by the minute i would be charged so much now just for checking so often.
come on krystopher get back to it, take your time (ive done new system rollout and i know its not easy)
    keep up the great work.
    go zooomr

    Any deadline prevented?

  10. Me said on 17 Mar 2007 at 6:42 pm:

If you needed all of the colour information from each ohoto, why didn’t you pre-process all of them over the last few weeks, rather than making them the bottleneck in the upgrade process?

Not getting at you, just seems a bit crazy not to…

I have really patience with you zooomr guys and I m refreshing the site every 5 minutes. but a deadline or a mail notifiation when mark III is there would make our life a bit easier :)

  12. Peter-Paul de Meijer said on 18 Mar 2007 at 1:41 am:

Yeah, a mail notification would be great.

  13. Paul W said on 18 Mar 2007 at 1:42 am:

I have already got maaaany new photos to upload =). I guess that zooomr will be under a stress after opening, with all shuterjunkies rushing to upload photos.

  14. dclagoa said on 18 Mar 2007 at 2:24 am:

Thanks for all your efforts, Kristopher.
And for those asking for deadlines, my take is that the best presents are the unexpected ;)
And, as a (bad) software designer myself, all i can say is that deadlines lead to rush, and if they are not fulfilled they will lead to deception, anger, frustation and to the dark side eventually ;D
Don’t take me wrong, i’m eager to try Mark III, and can’t wait to see the new API, but we must be patient. This is like a friend who were making a present for us, we should wait and thank him when its done, not try to urge him or speed things up :D
Anyways, the mail notification idea is a great one for those whose health might be at risk :P

Thank you Kris. Eagerly awaiting Mark III. You guys rock!!

  16. Andy said on 18 Mar 2007 at 4:52 am:

This wait isn’t unusual, Mark II’s release was delayed several delays too.As for mail notifications, just subscribe to the blog rss feed to get your notifications and if you want mail then use a rss to email feature - http://www.google.com/search?q=rss+to+email+&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS209US209

I was surprised about the fact that a process of processing pictures is keeping the team up - I would have thought this would be a batch/automated process that you just leave and let the system get on with it.

How many days was Mark 2 delayed?

  18. Sankar Anand said on 18 Mar 2007 at 6:53 am:

Come on, give us a note or two on the progress gentlemen, pleeeeeeease!

Yes, please give us some news.

  23. Justin said on 18 Mar 2007 at 12:20 pm:

What’s the go? I understand the delay and have no problem with it but…

Just wondering why on the 2nd/3rd day it was we are trying so hard to get it out but not going to make it then suddenly 3 days slip by?

Is it a major unexpected problem?

Any E.T.A or we just on unknown time here?

  24. redpenguinmatt said on 18 Mar 2007 at 2:06 pm:

Having worked for a small company, I understand the problems that can come up. However, I also understand how important it is to communicate with your customers. Now, while many of us aren’t ‘paying customers’ exactly, we will be very influential in recommending Zooomr to our friends and family. I really want to recommend Zooomr, but there is nothing right now to recommend.

So, those things being said, is there anything the you guys can tell us? Maybe not an ETA, but how about general status, what’s working, what’s not, etc?

And, is there anything that the Zooomr community can do to help?

  25. laceyfelix said on 18 Mar 2007 at 4:42 pm:

    seems they are incommunicado
maybe this means they are close or out drinking margaritas!
    LOL
