Down to the Wire: Final Stages of Zooomr Mark III

Zooomr Mark III

Friends! Today, we’re officially coming out with the launch date for Zooomr Mark III, the third and best release of Zooomr to date. With over five months in the making, spanning typically 15-19 hours every day of my own time, Mark III has been built to treat your senses with the ability to help you better manage, find, socialize and sell their fine works with the world.

Over 250 enhancements, refinements and features have been put into this release making it also one of Zooomr’s largest releases yet — and it’s all coming out in March! Mark your calendars, tell your friends and let the good word be spread.

Since Zooomr’s conception, I have personally received over 100,000 of your emails, thoughtfully outlining what you like, what you’d like to see and how you would like the next-generation of photo sharing to become. This, combined with more than a little creativity from Thomas Hawk and myself has made Mark III into a modern marvel simply awaiting to be turned on.

And yet, there’s still so much to be told about each of the goodies we’ve put out third release.

With continued love,

-Kristopher

  3. Justin King Says:

Awesome stuff, does this mean it will finally lose the beta status :)

As my mother and wife both could not find my site because when I gave them the URL they decided it would be good to add www because they think all websites start with this and doing that www.beta.zooomr.com does not resolve the address.

  4. Tanguillo Says:

Woohooo, can’t wait. Any certain date we can put in our calendars or should we just mark the whole month as Zooomr month? :P
Looking forward to playing around with the new site. Are you going to outline the major changes or will we have to find them out ourselves? Would be nice to be guided around.
Good luck with the last few weeks! Don’t tire yourself out too much :)

I look forward to it. Speaking of which, I was just wondering if I should be doing random QA and design feedback, and if so, where do I send my suggestions? So now I’ll wait for the new rev, but I’m sure I’ll still be able to find something to say. ;)

Awesome! Can’t wait to see it! Upgrades are so exciting… :)

So what are the odds of repeating the pro upgrade for bloggers from last summer as a way to celebrate the launch of MkIII? :) Hint, hint. :)

  28. Karsten Says:

Hi Kristopher, I am really looking forward to further improvements on Zooomr and appreciate your work. Zooomr is just an amazing place to share photos!
Anyways, it looks like image rotation is not working at the moment which is not a big issue. Just to let you know. BTW, what does pro 4 life indicate?

  29. tara and eddie (dot) com Says:

Snowshoeing, Photos, Flickr to Zooomr, and more.

I’m rather surprised by how into this whole photo-thang I am. I was really getting into it before Christmas with some very simple point-and-shoot cameras, and then Tara surprised me and we bought a Canon 30D dSLR, with a really nice 17-85 (f4-5….

  30. frontieruk Says:

one thing that’s kinda got my back up… trackbacks… it’d be really nice to be able to click on the trackbacks stat and see which photo’s are being looked at in feeds etc.

  31. Edward Says:

What your zooomr is so slow? I like some of the features but my experience is not so good. Is there any plan to make it faster? I realize you’re still in beta.

  32. Nick Says:

From the UK the speed of Zooomr is noticeable slower than flickr.
    Any plans to introduce forums?
