Anyone Up for a Photowalk in San Francisco on Wednesday?
Monday, February 19th, 2007Don MacAskill (he runs SmugMug) is getting together a group of people to join some out of town Smugmuggers for a photowalk in San Francisco on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. We are going to meet in Chinatown. Maybe we can organize a dinner somewhere too afterwards and then shoot some more if folks want. Come on out and join us if you have time on Wednesday afternoon or evening.
I’ll update more of the details about where we are going to meet etc. later today. Should be a great shoot.
The Future Looks Sweet
Friday, February 16th, 2007We’re getting ever so close by the moment to Zooomr Mark III — Michael van Veen is over at the moment from San Diego, so we’re in some of the crucial last stages of the build! More to come as it develops!
With love,
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Monday Goodies
Monday, February 12th, 2007A few great shots for your Monday.
Photos starting at top (l to r) by: Special, goqtt, kentopher, lucky e, and public energy.
I especially liked Special’s shot of the rain because that’s exactly how it feels in San Francisco right now. Kristopher and I are both hanging out at his new place working and listening to sigur rós with a gentle comforting blanket of rain falling outside his window on the San Francisco Bay.
Congrats to Nick Douglas on His New Show “Look Shiny”
Friday, February 9th, 2007Here at Zooomr we’d like to congratulate our good friend Nick Douglas on the launch of his new videoblog “Look Shiny.” Nick’s got a keen sense of humor and a great sense for the absurd (Can you really have a show called 5 second recipes within a 3 minute daily videoblog?). Zooomr Mark III is sponsoring the launch of Nick’s show and his first week. If you’ve got an extra three minutes today, check out his new show here.
Kristopher took the portrait above of Nick last week when we were having burgers at Taylor’s Automatic Refresher.
Down to the Wire: Final Stages of Zooomr Mark III
Tuesday, February 6th, 2007Friends! Today, we’re officially coming out with the launch date for Zooomr Mark III, the third and best release of Zooomr to date. With over five months in the making, spanning typically 15-19 hours every day of my own time, Mark III has been built to treat your senses with the ability to help you better manage, find, socialize and sell their fine works with the world.
Over 250 enhancements, refinements and features have been put into this release making it also one of Zooomr’s largest releases yet — and it’s all coming out in March! Mark your calendars, tell your friends and let the good word be spread.
Since Zooomr’s conception, I have personally received over 100,000 of your emails, thoughtfully outlining what you like, what you’d like to see and how you would like the next-generation of photo sharing to become. This, combined with more than a little creativity from Thomas Hawk and myself has made Mark III into a modern marvel simply awaiting to be turned on.
And yet, there’s still so much to be told about each of the goodies we’ve put out third release.
With continued love,
