Working on Mark III: No Sleep for Me
Hey friends, I’ve been working night-and-day on Mark III pulling my regular 15-19 hour days… Mark III is shaping up to be pretty awesome, so I’m pretty confident that you will enjoy it.
Lots of work has gone into making Zooomr more friendly, more intuitive and certainly more of a joy to experience the life and stories around photos from the people who so graciously share them.
I’ve poured an insane amount of love and attention into Mark III over the last 3-4 months, mostly from thanks and reflection to your 50k+ emails that I’ve received in feedback, not to mention the wonderful folks who keep in touch via IM. It’s been a tremendous undertaking for one person ( read: me
), but I hope that the fruits of my efforts are well received.
I realize that I haven’t been posting as frequently to the Zooomr Blog, but this is only due to long hours at the keys.
Heh, I just get giddy thinking about all of this cool stuff we’re holding back until the big day — back to work for me!
With continued love,

Wow, dude 50K emails, and you still bothered to give me simple HTML help or chat on IM. This is what I, and I’m sure many others, love about Zooomr. It’s not a machine, it is more like a growing, developing organism, one, who also talks back and accepts ideas.
Most probably, Zooomr will soon be too big for interaction like this. Keep it up as long as you can.
Appreciate your hard work! Anxious about Mark III!

Kristopher, what more could be said? Thank you for your hard work! I am sure that I speak for many when I say that we can’t wait to see Mark III.

I look forward to seeing it. Is there a time estimate for when it will be released?
January 19th, 2007 at 6:18 am
I’ve been putting in similar hours on a project so I can empathize. Just get some rest, okay?
Oh, and thanks for fixing the upload bug!

I’m looking forward to seeing Mark 3, I know your hard work will pay off.
Don’t forget to get rest, the less rest you get the more stupid mistakes you may make!

Kristopher, it is hard to comprehend that Zooomr.M3 could be that much better than Zooomr.M2
We are so looking forward to it, every time my RSS reader pings I am hoping it is a post to this blog announcing mark III!
Keep up the good work, it will be worth it.

Kristopher and I had a business dinner in the East Bay last night and then came back to my place and both worked on our MacBooks until I conked out at about midnight. When I got up this morning at 6am he was still on the couch MacBook in hand and got a hell of a lot of work accomplished all night long.
I appreciate the dedication buddy and know that all this hard work will be worth it in the end.

Wow, Zooom is the best web for me, i like Zooomr, but i have two questions:
1. Why can’t i use the “Smartset”?
After i click the “ADD” bottom, it will show “Error”.(Please click the website that i give you.)
http://studftp.stut.tw/~492C0921/01.JPG
2. Why can’t i use the JUploadr to update my photos?(Please click the website that i give you.)

Zooomr’s space is larger than Taiwan’s photo web, so i decide to use zooomr and give up the old account of Taiwan.

Kris,
I’ve been there before. The bast part of it all is when you can sit back and say “Aw Yeah!” Great work! Can’t wait for MIII!

HEY! i can use the feature. That is my problem.

I’ve found a validator you’ll probably find incredibly useful… it’s a lot more accurate than the W3C validator and HTML Tidy, & it lets you take a screenshot of a page in IE7.

Problem of smartset using Chinese tag
Hi Kris,
I can’t found any email address to report problem of Zooomr, so I try to leave this problem report in this post. Hope you don’t mind and can read this.
I really like the feature of smartset. However, one of my blog reader told me he can’t build smartset using Chinese tag, the building process can’t be completed.
I then tried it myself and found it’s true. I’ve tagged ‘蘋果’ in one of my image and you can use it for testing.
Thanks for your efforts of building Zooomr. I’m looking forward to seeing Mark III.
Cheers,
tinyau

Hey, I’ve run into a bug today. I was trying to rotate one of my images and it didn’t work. It sent me to a page that said error occurred.
Thanks.

You Guys Rock and that’s why I tell everyone how great your product is. Thanks for telling us about your forward work on Mark III, any plans to sneak-peak us in on new bling and features?
Love to see some new ways to promote the site on blogs and in posts etc.
