by Kristopher Tate | 23 December 2006 | General | 20 Comments

Hey everyone, I didn’t know this until now, but Pete over at Mashable has started a vote-contest of sorts. Help us take the lead by “Voting Zooomr” on this page.

Twango is currently in the lead, but I know you guys can lead us to victory! This kind of stuff really gets me excited about working for you guys, so please help us out!

With love,

-Kristopher

I think the voting ended at 12pm PST today, unfortunately.

Spotted the link you’d put up at the top of Zooomr earlier and voted. Can’t say any of the others have anywhere near the appeal to me that Zooomr does.

    Have a good Christmas.

Thanks, Ben for your kind words! Same to you!

Diego, let me check with Pete — thanks for the info!

    Diego,

Voting is still open, since a large number of nominees didn’t find out about it until today. You’ve still got at least a few hours.

Of course you’ll get my vote.
Zooomr is great. Add .gif support and it would make Zooomr superb.

Peter-Paul, I’m going to be replacing our image libraries for Mark III — so chances are GIF support will be in!

I have voted (for Zooomr of course).
    I think I have found a bug related to private photos. I have made a quick note of it here;

    Are you aware of this?

  14. Kristopher Tate said on 24 Dec 2006 at 9:12 am:

David, I’m aware of it; There is a complicated (and just) reason why the fix to that has not been rolled-out.

    Voted!

Now all I need is a way to move all my pictures over from Flickr (hint, hint… ;) )

I wanted to leave a suggestion for Zooomr in order to improve an already superb site but couldn’t find a way of emailing you. So, I have resorted to leaving a comment for you.

Just wondered if there would be some way for you to censor what pictures are revealed on the Zooomr Welcome Mat. I mainly mean the latest on Zooomr feed. When I logged on I was greeted with what appeared to be a man pleasuring himself, not really what you expect or want to see. I suggest the pictures should be censored from the main welcome page if you are going to let images like that be hosted. It’s a family site isn’t it? I could’ve been logging on to show members of my family some photos. I also found them to be rather offensive and unpleasant.

Just wanted to contact you to tell you this. If the contact link on your about page was workign I wouldn’t have had to do it in such a public manner!

Well… It’s not actually *that* mashable, unless you start handing API keys to people ;-)
