Thomas, is there a chance we could import our Flickr stuff into Zooomr in any way sometime in the future?

paradox, maybe. But for now it's just a one time change. We can always look at this after Mark III but that's the priority for the moment.

Is there any possibility or changing your URL? I realize that it is supposed to be permanent, but is that ever going to become an option?

This is indeed a great trick. And thanks for the format of the tagmap url. Now, i'll be able to substitute the coordinates for the location in which I want to geotag a photo.
Also, this is my first post in the blog, so hello to everybody :)

Tom, thanks for the cool hack with the map bookmarks. Gotta try that! I've also been typing in my home address as a starting point for my geotags, or the city and country name for my trip photos, but I've been wishing for that default behavior for some time. Cheers!

Taavi, we are working on making people search easier on Zooomr. I agree with you. It should be easier to find people.

Raoul, indeed. And a good feature that hopefully we can implement. You can also bookmark favorite geotag default views. I've got default bookmarks set up for San Francisco, Oakland, etc.

http://beta.zooomr.com/tagmap?z=16&ll=37.77682066490566,-122.42140531539917&spn=0.009209393089366313,0.028152465820317447&t=m

http://beta.zooomr.com/tagmap?z=13&ll=37.804444,-122.269722&spn=0.0736474784691687,0.2252197265624887&t=m

To do this just look up any spot on the map by address and then in the bubble when you hover over the little arrow pointer it will give you a link to that location. I put SF and Oak links in my bookmarks launch bar on Firefox and then anytime I want to geotag photos there I can just select that link and start geotagging.

When I tag my photos Oakland or SF on upload I can then filter by those tags and get lots of geotagging down in that location.

"When you have your city and country filled in your profile when you comment on other’s photos on Zooomr it tells people where you are from."

It'd be even cooler if the geotagging map would default to our home city at mid to high-mid magnification. It'd make it a whole lot easier to start geotagging them, since most of the photos taken are usually in or near someone's home town.

<i>/.../an Extra Tools section <b>where where </b>you can turn any image/.../ - typo</i>

You should all change the url. I've often had trouble finding people, because they still have their original url. Sometimes I don't find them at all, the search function isn't that great. Lacking the nickname search and advanced criteria search.
