Makarska - Croatia Hosted on ZooomrOne of the things that I love about having Zooomr in 18 different localizations is that the experience of seeing photos on Zooomr is truly an international one. I was going through ch0hlik’s stream today and found this great shot from Croatia. ch0hlik has a set of images up from Croatia here. As well as sets up from Warsaw and Lomza .
Today Zooomr is localized in more languages and dialects than any other photo sharing site that we are aware of. And the localization work has actually been done by the Zooomr community. It is all of you who have chipped in and taken the time to translate the site into the languages that we have today.
Kristopher started Zooomr a little over a year ago because he didn’t have a good photo sharing site to share photos with his friends from Japan. Since then through your generousity more and more languages have been added to the site. We want to continue to localize Zooomr because we think we all benefit by being able to photo share more globally than we would otherwise.
We are very pleased with Zooomr’s current mix of traffic. It really is divided pretty equally all over the world. More traffic is coming from Asia than anywhere right now but not by too large of an amount. Europe is strong as are the Americas. We’ve noticed the activity from Cape Town South Africa, from Australia, and lots of other places on the globe.
If there are languages that Zooomr has not been translated into yet that you would like to see on Zooomr, or if you think a particular language needs to be improved, please let us know. We would love your help, if you are so inclined, in making Zooomr a more and more universal site for the benefit of all of us.
