Hey nice post. See you’ve got your hair combed back for a change… You’re really keeping a tight lid on the feature set in Mark 3, aren’t you? What’s in there other than ZGroups? C’mon, spill it! Or at least name the D-day! :-)

  2. jonnyblue Says:

I can’t wait for Mark 3. Can you tell us an aproximate release date?
You’ve managed to create one of the best web photo sharing services. Zooomr’s great! THANK YOU!

    Keep up the good work!

    P.S.: Sorry about your MBP.

  3. J Greenberg Says:

Soooooo … You’re sorry for not making more videos, but not sorry for the downtime and not even bringing it up and offering an explanation? Do you think no-one notices when all photos are unavailable for hours and hours (a whole day?). How can we trust you with our photos if you don’t even acknowledge the problems?

    Hey Kristopher,
Your energy is inspirational. When I program all night I get these massive bags under my eyes, I guess thats an old people thing. What a great attitude you have about your computer, when my shit breaks, I freak. One small quip, we write dates in America like this: 11/21/06, not this: 21/11/2006. When in Berkeley…

    Jill,

First, if you’re going to post here, please use a legitimate URL and email.

Second, if the issue was as bad as how you describe it, I would most certainly make a public announcement.

I hope that clarifies some things to you — Also, please know that if you fail to provide legitimate URLs and email addresses our new spam system will delete your comments regardless of the content.

    Thanks,

    -Kristopher

I wonder if that was the real Jill Greenberg. If so, she has a lot of gall using Thomas’ website as her URL.

  7. Cody Mays Says:

You should pick up a new core 2 duo. I just got mine monday and it’s great. No problems at all and it has 64bit support. :)

    Hope all goes well.

  8. Tom Says:

Thanks Kristoher, Keep up the good work and Happy T-Day!

  9. Wally Says:

Hey i still have problems with a set of photos i uploaded a couple of days ago…

    Check this one as example.
    http://beta.zooomr.com/photos/juancho/426866
I can SEE it on the stream, i can SEE them on the pseudo.info.window.

I can even open the “choose the size” page!

But i cannot open them to edit tags and stuff.

  10. Andy Says:

Color me excited for Mark III! I think the current version (Mark II?) is great, and can’t wait to see what you have in store.
    Keep up the good work

Hey, if you can’t take it, go ahead and delete. I’m just saying what a lot of us are thinking. I don’t want to post under my own name/zaccount because I’m trying to like Zoomr and I’m hoping I can still get support when I need it.

But you must have seen that 5 of us posted about the outage when it was going on and you chose not to say anything about it.

Commenting on the blog is the only public forum we have for finding out about probelms. How about a status log, help forum, bug tracker, even just a phpbb instance? Please take care of some of the basics before going ahead with “Mark III” or you are going to lose some of us who are trying to support you.

I think you can leave Zooomr if you are unhappy.
Kris is the only guy who made that fantastic website. There is a lot a features really originals and he gave to a lot of us free Pro accounts.

No one can oblige you to use Zooomr. If you can not bear the little problems, so go… far, very far.

Kris is not our slave, he is the chief and we profit of his work, for free. That’s nice, isn’t it?

Please stop trolling. We are quiet here, and we are happy with Zooomr.

  13. Taavi Says:

Well, I think there is nothing wrong with criticism. Just be polite and understanding. I think nobody would say no to constructive criticism, expressed in a good-natured way. I for one would like to see people telling me the cons of my shots. And remember, Kris did say: “…Please be patient with us…

Share the opinion with Raoul. Give as an approximate ETA, please :)

  14. Taavi Says:

Oops, give us an approximate ETA, please :D*

  15. Nelson Says:

Downtime is simply inevitable — even more so when a service is clearly labeled “Beta”. I’m sure good things await us around the bend.

    :)
