Hi folks, unfortunately it looks like we are going to be down most likely for the rest of the day and not back up and online until tomorrow. Kristopher is working hard on our servers back onsite and doing everything he can do to restore service — it’s just not likely to happen today.

We will keep you updated as we know more and we are are very, very sorry that we have been offline as long as we have. Thank you for your patience with us and we will report more when we can.

Lately, I’ve been making Zooomr Video Logs or ZLogs — Well, there’s also been quite a bit of Outtakes to these, as well. Here they are in a video:

Lastly, I’ve been playing with some time-lapse software for the Macintosh called Gawker, and boy is it cool. In the short time that I’ve had it, I’ve made a time-lapse of what I’m typically doing mid-afternoon here over at the Zooomr HQ — Most of my hard work goes into the evenings.

Lots of people ask me what my favourite tool is when building websites and my reply is always “Pencil & Paper.” To me, there’s just something about the nature of paper and the degrees of creativity that a pencil can merit. Sure, here at Zooomr we have software that helps us track features and issues, but lots of work still goes through my trusty Japanese import Pentel Graphlet buddies.

The sad thing is that I had to replace my PG509 today because I lost it after almost 11 months of service! It will be missed.

So, what kind of design tools excite you guys?
