lots of people have jobs and don’t really want to disturb workmates with audio and video. Text based blogs are the most accessible format, stick with it.

As I am at work, I can not hear the sound of the video (!) but I think that it is an excellent idea.
I have just see at the bottom of the blog pages a new green image to fave the blog to Technorati but the link is about http://picks.zooomr.com/ which (I discover and seems to be a very good blog) has not been updated since March 2006. It may be http://blog.zooomr.com, no ?
