Where in the World Are You Zoooming From

I thought I’d take a minute to share with you all where the traffic to Zooomr is coming from in the world. One of the things that we are trying to do at Zooomr is to become the first truly international photo sharing site. Whether our support of Google Maps for geotagging or the fact that we are localized in 17 different languages, it is our hope that our users will be able to have a truly international experience.
The dots above represent the hottest places that Google Analytics tells us our traffic is coming from.
At present Beijing is increasingly becoming our largest referrer of traffic. As you will see from the image above though, our traffic is actually pretty evenly distributed internationally. As photos are indeed universal we hope that you all will benefit from a more international flavor of photography available through Zooomr. Thanks for Zoooming and be sure to let us know where in the world you are zoooming from today.

I’m Zoooming from Costa Rica.
Rock on guys.
I don’t know where it is a bug of Google Analytics:
Many of the traffic from Beijing is actually from other cities in China.
I use Google Analytics to monitor the traffic of my blog, it usually shows the wrong city.

Do the different shades of green mean anything but country distinction?
Taavi, not sure on the green. The map is straight from Google Analytics which analyzes where our traffic comes from. We are happy to see that Zooomr very much is becoming an international site. The geotag on the image shows where Kristopher and I were when we posted it, here in San Francisco.
Toronto, Canada!
zoooming from Oceanside, CA, which is in the Northern part of San Diego County, by Camp Pendleton. This is where Kelly McGillis’ Top Gun character lived.

Life for me is bouncing between UK & China
Surprised to see so much traffic from Beijing, which is why I want to make the point here: Zooomr needs a fully translated learn_more section, it is one of the gaps that await to be filled between Zooomr & the rest of world.
Yes, DF is right.
A fully translated learn_more section would be nice.
I am ready to do it in French if you want.
