Ciao Italia! (Hello, Italy!)
Hey Everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that I just updated our production site with some new goodies including an Italian Localization by Zooomr user Michele Costantino Soccio. Thanks Michele!
Some users outside of the US might notice some speed-ups due to some better delivery mechanisms that I just put into place, as well.
Enjoy,
Kristopher Tate

Hi,
as long as there is no forum or other chance to post errors, I’ll do it in the most recent post on zooomr.
As I mentioned before, I’ve created a plugin to show photos from my zooomr RSS feed on my website. You can see t on my website. The problem with the feed is, that it contains also photos I’ve declared private, and when I click on them to get to the photo detail page, I get an 404 page not found error.
Can you please check this, Kris?

I quote: “if you’re having any problems with Zooomr, please email them to zfeedback@bbridgetech.com and one of Thomas, Michael, or myself will try to get to your emails. I’m also kris.tate@gmail.com on GTalk, so if you would like to drop a line, please feel free to do so.”
From an earlier post.

Hey, Kris… It should be “Ciao Italia” not “Ciao l’Italia”.

I noticed Kris fixed the problem with every photo showing “public,” thanks, Kris. Anyone else notice anything different?

Actually, I’m still having problems with the public/private settings, at least for some of them (in particular the last two in my photostream)

@ tim
I noticed that Upload and Welcome Mat have swiched places.
Direct description boxes are back.
Also the pictures are loading very fast. I don’t know if it’s because of the late hour here or more probably thanks to Kris.

Oh, I’ve also noticed that they’ve fixed the “Photos this user is inside of” index (it used to show 1 even when there was more than a picture).
However, I’m not seeing this connection speed ups. On the contrary, all the site pages seem to load slower than before; more precisely, there seems to be a higher latency between the request and the page finally loading. Since my browser has remained the same (Opera 9.01 on Windows XP) it’s probably some kind of mis-interaction with the serverside improvements.

Good job! Finally even my language is here!
There are some errors/tips with the translation:
1- When editing a Photo Description or Title the Save Button should be “Salva” and note “Salve”
2- “Photos is inside of” could be translated into “Foto dove è presente”
3- In the Home Page the “Discover - GeoTagged - Photos” have been translated into “Esplora - GeoTag - Fotografie”…
Just to keep the original mean it colud become:
“Esplora - tramite GeoTag - le Foto”

The issues with IE are ongoing.
I appreciate all the new functionality you’re adding. The site really is the dogs.
However the majority of people are going to have a limited experience due to the issues with IE.

There is also a bug with set view where the set thumbnail shows a photo from the previous set. This leaves the last set with no photo displayed as a thumbnail.

In a Techcrunch post from June about Zooomr 2, romanian and norwegian versions of zooomr were announced. So far, none of them showed up.Do you know when they will be available?

@ Epper 3- In the Home Page the “Discover - GeoTagged - Photos” have been translated into “Esplora - GeoTag - Fotografie”…
Just to keep the original mean it colud become:
“Esplora - tramite GeoTag - le Foto”
Tell me you are kidding, please!!!
