Kristopher and I both had a great time at the TechCrunch 7 party last night. Congrats to Mike Arrington and August Capital on a successful evening. It was a pretty well attended event with something like 750 or so people there. In choosing what photo to post on the Zooomr Blog, I figured it was only fair to post a photo of Vinnie, since he is the guy on Zooomr with the most photos right now. Vinnie’s got over 14,000 photos posted and is listed here as number one in terms of photos on Zooomr. I’m number two but I’ve got to get over 11,000 more photos up to compete with Vinnie. We need to get Billy Warhol over here to give Vinnie a little competition. The photo above is of Vinnie with SF Chronicle Tech Reporter Jessica Guynn.
Oh and by the way when Vinnie shows up at a party he likes to hear people shout “Vinn-nay.” And if you havfe any photos of last night’s party be sure and tag them TechCrunch7.
As many great sunset shots as I’ve seen I’m always happy to find another one. This one’s in Australia from hmorandell and he’s got lots of other great ones! Check out his Sunset in Broome (Cable Beach) SmartSet.
Patrick Feyh’s down here hanging out with the gang. Check out his Zooomr shots.
Hey, Kristopher and I are down here right now at the Zooomr Meetup at Pier 23, if you are in San Francisco come on down and join us for a beer. Some crazy guy just jumped off the Pier and into the Bay and a bunch of people just had to fish the poor guy out. Come on down!
Pier 23 has got free wi-fi by the way.
Hi, Just a quick reminder that we are having a Zooomr meetup tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m. We will meet at Pier 23 (geotagged with map here). Kristopher is going to show off some of the new features we hope to release next week for Zooomr and it will just be a good time to photogeek out in general. For those of you who want to shoot afterwards we can take a stroll around and see what interesting things we can find to shoot. The link at upcoming.org is here.
Bring your camera, your lenses, your tripod, your laptop or none of the above and just come on down to hang out. Look forward to seeing you there!
Ok, well when you’ve got the keys to the Zooomr Blog and your brother takes an amazing shot you’ve got to post it. My brother Jesse (who is the smart one in the family, he just got his PhD. in Math from UCLA in June) has just moved up to the Bay Area. He’s doing a Fellowship at UC Berkeley and this is the view from his office at night. Very cool.
There’s just something about the Coast of Portugal and Sam Bloomberg-Rissman, who goes by Ropeboy on Zooomr, is just the one to point it out. To see more of Sam’s great work be sure also to check out his fantastic photoblog at wanning and waxing. You can also see his professional site here. Thanks for sharing your great photos Sam.
