Fantastic Photo of an Underwater Greenwich Foot Tunnel

Greenwich Foot Tunnel (2)Greenwich Foot Tunnel (2) Hosted on Zooomr

Thanks to Gridrunner for this fantastic shot of an underwater Greenwich Foot Tunnel. I thought the photo was great, but when I saw it on the Google map tag underwater that made it that much cooler for me. Nice work.

What are you guys working on?

(4day break in blog and a week in Zooomrhits - biggest ones I’ve seen)

Also, I’ve noticed that Zooomr.com has become a little more buggy than usual.

    Best of luck, as always.

I read (on techcrunch :p) that you reserved something for us today !! Right ?

  3. Taavi Says:

    Idea: discover->tags

Under the popular tags could be a stream of recent tags. They, of course, would be constantly updating, but I think it would be a good variation as the popular tags are almost always the same.

When I upload photos, there is an option to make those photos visible to friends and family privately.
How do I choose Friends and Family? Can I make different photos visible to different sets of Friends and Families?

Another limitation I just hit: there is no way to know that somebody has added you to his/her Social Circle, unless they tell you. (Is it supposed to send an email?)

  6. Taavi Says:

Also, the upload tool doesn’t work properly anymore. It gets stuck at the section.

And as I usually have received an email about a new comment, now I sometimes get and sometimes don’t get the informative email.

    edit:

It gets stuck at the processing section.

I’ve no problems. Just uploaded about 100 pics, everything fine with the upload. It doesn’t get stuck anywhere.

  9. Taavi Says:

    I tried again

First photo: 5min and no problem
Second photo: 3min, then stuck at processing (i let it process for another 4 min - nothing)

Aha, I think the problem is that photos with ’special’ characters (õ, ü, ä, ö)in their name don’t get processed.

Waiting for Grooopers, the forum feature. We need the social interaction to make this Zooooom.

How do I choose Friends and Family when I upload private photos?
I am hoping somebody will let me know.

Bhadra, people that are your friends and family (in the Zooomr definition of those words) must also have a Zooomr account. Then when you go to their profile page (http://beta.zooomr.com/people/…) you can choose to have them join your social circle. When doing so, you get to specify whether you want them also to be your friends and/or family, and thus get to see the pictures you have reserved for them.

  13. bhadra Says:

Why should friends and family have a zooomr account? Can’t it be like Twango (www.twango.com) or better? Twango is just an example and I am not comparing.

  14. tim Says:

bhadra, how would they control who has access to your friends and family pics if the person never signs in?

  15. bhadra Says:

Visit www.twango.com. I repeat that I am not comparing Twango with Zooomr.

  16. tim Says:

Interesting…I like that Twango has support for videos. I’ve always thought a complete photo solution should have videos. That way people can post those vedeos taken with their cameras (of which I have more than a few).
