Okay… we’re live!
How’s it look? Send your feedback here, please.

(PS, I’ll shoot a post with a list of all of the new stuff tomorrow)
EDIT: Google users, please try your TPass again. Everything seems to be working again now.
Thank-you for your continued patience, Everyone! I’m happy to report that we’ll be launching today as planned.
I’m finishing-up all checks to the system as our SmartSet Cache is going through the thousands of images we’ve got.
I know it’s hard to wait, so here’s a sneak-peak at Zooomr2’s TagMap:

UPDATE: We’ve been having some issues with our tagging index. Regardless, we’re still on for today — there’s still three hours left in this day (we’re on Pacific Time here). Thanks.
UPDATE #2: OKAY! Brian Ellin from JanRain is activating some new openid code on their servers right now — and after he does that soon, we will officially launch. Sorry for all of the trouble, everyone!
Hey Everyone, we’re going to be back soon and even stronger than ever.
After a tremendous amount of research in the last 30-or-so hours, I have not only located and locked-down the problem, but looked at some of the more lower-level aspects of Zooomr’s infrastructure to fine-tune our systems to meet both attackers and our users.
As Thomas had posted previously, this attack will only make us better, stronger, and more evasive to attacks and ill-willed individuals.
So, now that our infrastructure’s resources have been fine-tuned and ripe to go now, You’ll see a huge speed increase along with the new design and new features.
I understand that this is frustrating to many people, but not as nearly as frustrating for me — trust me that I have your best interest in mind, and that I’ll be returning the service by a yet undetermined time on Monday, July 17th.
I’ve had to make-up for a lot of time taken away from understanding and fighting these fires, and I hope that the ill-will of some unnamed group or individual will not dampen the excitement of our 2.0 release.
So, in a way to say “Thanks!”, I’ve uploaded this screenshot of what Zooomr 2.0 will look like.
Thank-you,
Kristopher Tate
EDIT: And yes, we will still be offering free Pro accounts to bloggers the world over
Well that’s how it feels when you work really hard for something for weeks just to have some bully kick sand in your face in the end. Yeah, we most likely will not be launching tonight and that sucks. I guess it goes with the territory when you’re a small start up. All of your photos are safe and your blogged photos will still work. We just need to stop this attack before we will be able to go back online.
Sorry to all of you and we’ll still be down here at 365 Brannan St. tonight talking about Zooomr. Come on down and enjoy a beer with us. We will be back and a lot stronger when we can and in the end as a wise man once said, “that which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.”
Well I suppose it serves us right for running a countdown timer to our launch at 5pm today, but Zooomr has been under a massive denial of service (DOS) attack all day and it has forced us to delay our launch by a few hours or so. We think we will have it up and running at 7pm Pacific Daylight Time assuming we can clear up this vicious attack.
Kris, Michael and I are hanging out at Rubyred Labs right now at 365 Brannan St. getting ready for tonight’s big launch.
As a reminder for those of you who can join us we will be here at Valleyschawg3 at 365 Brannan St. from 8pm to midnight tonight. Oh and one thing about tonight’s party that I can’t believe we forgot. FREE BEER! Yep, that’s right FREE BEER tonight at the Zooomr2 launch as well as wine, whisky and more fun stuff for you to drink. Yep, the bar’s open and the bar’s free. Come on by.
Mike and I have been in our Santa Clara data center since 6pm yesterday, and we’ll be here until 8a working on some of the new infrastructure improvements, along with all of the other neat things we’ve got going on inside of Zooomr 2.0.
Anyways, Zooomr will be up tomorrow at 5pm PDT, so gentlemen, start the countdown!

We’re running some tests on Zooomr during the next hour for our 2.0 launch on Friday so if service is down or sporadic it should be back up shortly.
Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to say that this is a 24 hour notice to notify everyone that Zooomr will be closed from 12:01a PDT on Thurday, July 13th until 5:00p PDT on Friday, July 14th.
This is so that we can upgrade Zooomr to our new 2.0 release. Please note that all of your photos posted to blogs and other sites will still be accessible.
And lastly, please join us in counting-down to the all new Zooomr 2 on this countdown page — It’s really cool, just check it out.
