New Merge System Imminent

by Kristopher Tate | 20 July 2006 | Development | 18 Comments

Hi Everyone, I’ve been busy fixing some post2.0 glitches including smartset errors.

Anywho, I wanted to let people know that a better designed merge system is in the works and people who have always had OpenIDs, who have been experiencing problems will have their issues auto-corrected when this patch goes to production.

More as it becomes available.

Thanks,

Kristopher Tate

I have been unable to change my one-time only url? I have tried several times from different browsers and computers, always get error on page on line 21

Will that help to merge my (accidently made) two accounts to one?

Hi. Congratulations for your service, is great.
I got a question, the Privacy Settings for pictures ¿Is it working? ¿How can I invite family and friends to see them?

    Thanks for the support.
    Nacho.

    Hey guys!
I’ve not figured out how to edit the permissions (who can see it) on a picture. I can set them on upload, but can’t seem to edit them.

    What am i missing? :)

    Hi

I have signed up for your service. It looks great. But why there is no Help/Contact link? You haven’t provided any mean of contacting you people. Where can I shout for Help!

I wanted to go for pro account as is mentioned on your other blog entry (http://blog.zooomr.com/2006/07/07/do-we-love-bloggers-yes-we-do/) but I was unable to register my blog at - http://beta.zooomr.com/proitizer.

I linked my photo hosted on zooomr but still it is unable to detect it. Please help in this regard.

Keep up the good work. I will be looking forward for better zooomr.

Sorry to leave yet another comment, but you didn’t have a ‘contact us’ link on Zooomr that I could find.

I can see in my ’social circle’ my girlfriends pictures that are marked private. However, when I click on them or go to her photos in general, I cannot see them.

    Kris,

Not sure whether you’re aware, but Zooomr 2.0 isn’t great in IE 6.0. Not all menu options are available and photo’s don’t appear in the same way as they do in Firefox.

Just wanted to let you know.

    That’s great
A few issues. I’d like to see the tag system improved. For example, when I want to browse my own tags, and only my own, I have to go to my profile and then access them. An easier way would have been just to add a link from the front page once you are logged in.

And I haven’t seen a place to change the privacy of a photo, maybe it’s me, but I’ve tried making public photos private and vice versa and I haven’t seen this option yet.

    Thanks for the great work.

Great to hear that Kris. By When might you have the kinks worked out.

    Feature Request :
A bar present in Yahoo Mail etc saying how much of the storage you’ve used so far.

I just signed up to your service. I signed up to myopenid as well. Now, I simply can’t sign in to zooomr. It is awfully frustrating, really.

Sorry to vent here, but I couldn’t find any help. I guess I chose a bad time to sign in, but so far my first impression is very poor.

Logging in was quite painful. I had signed up a while back, but could not log into that account since I was forced to use the OpenID/merge stuff, so now I believe I have two accounts, one which has the one-time URL I *really* want, but can’t log into, and the newer one I am using. Any chance of reconciling the one-time url?

Hmmm I’m still having problems logging in with my Pre 2.0 OpenID account, it doesn’t log me into my account it starts to sign me up for another one.
