Almost there! [UPDATEDx2]

Thank-you for your continued patience, Everyone! I’m happy to report that we’ll be launching today as planned.

I’m finishing-up all checks to the system as our SmartSet Cache is going through the thousands of images we’ve got.

I know it’s hard to wait, so here’s a sneak-peak at Zooomr2’s TagMap:

UPDATE: We’ve been having some issues with our tagging index. Regardless, we’re still on for today — there’s still three hours left in this day (we’re on Pacific Time here). Thanks.

UPDATE #2: OKAY! Brian Ellin from JanRain is activating some new openid code on their servers right now — and after he does that soon, we will officially launch. Sorry for all of the trouble, everyone!

    i understand how youguys can be delayed.. but i think it isn’t the best idea to keep promising launch dates if you wont be able to make them happen.

    I saw a demo of the 2.0 site on friday and was it is very impressive. The tagging and location mapping are much cooler than I originally expected.

    Good luck launching tonight. I’ll check back in a few hours and hopefully upload a few photos.

    You’re probably already aware of this, but there are still some tagging problems. When I try to use the tag “web”, I get the tag “‘web” back (notice the leading apostrophe.) Also, some tags end up with an initial capital letter.

    Anyway, glad to see you’re back up now. Could’ve done with *more* status updates and explanations and *less* promises of when you’d be up by. (It looked a little sketch at times.) But that’s okay, I forgive you. :-P
