    Hi, kind of feel bad for putting this here as it’s totally off topic. I would suggest having a forum of sorts for Zooomr-ish user driven support, but it sounds like 2.0 will have groups with forums.

    Is there a faq somewhere that deals with geotagging support? I’ve got most of my photos taken this past year with geo location info embedded in the EXIF of each JPG. It doesn’t look like Zooomr reads that right now, or am I just not pressing the right buttons?

    Don’t want to sound rude, but dropping each photo back on a map (again) is something I’m not willing to do.

    Also a fair number of entries in the EXIF I normally would see using other applications and services isn’t displayed through Zooomr’s More link, such as latitude and longitude.

    Should I wait for 2.0 before picking your massive brain? :P

    Rubin, thanks for the feedback. We will start Zooomr Ideas and Zooomr help forums as soon as we launch groups (this Friday). Yes, if geotag info is in the EXIF we absolutely should be able to read it. If we are not right now we will look into this in order to fix it.

    We are super excited about geotagging and absolutely wouldn’t want you to have to retag photos already geotagged.

    Speaking of geotagging as well, it’s going to get much, much, easier in V2.0.

    I just uploaded this photo that I know has geo info in the EXIF data, but isn’t being displayed through the More link.

    Glad to hear geotagging will be radder in 2.0. A friend of mine is letting me borrow her Garmin etrex for a while, which is awesome because she knows how much I hurt having to map tag 500 photos at once by hand. d:

    Hi.
    I would like that report that, the photo description currently does not support Chinese.

    No problem with photo title, though.

    I am using Mozilla Firefox, if it matters.

    Hope you can fix it on 2.0 as well.

    Hey Rubin. Either way I’ll try to hook up with you. I think I’m going to try and hit the Crucible on Thurdsay night.

    I’ll talk to Kris about why the geotag data is not showing up on the link you have above and hopefully we can come up with a way to make it work for you.

    Sorry to clutter up your comments with this, but I have one photo which just WILL NOT DELETE! The actual photo is gone, but the name is still there and it just won’t go away! I tried removing all the tags, the name, everything, but it just won’t go! You should be able to see what I mean here:

    The problem seems to have worked itself out, or someone fixed it. Either way, it’s all good now :P
