Anyone want to guess how long it’s going to take this snail named Speedy to get from an island in Rhode Island to California? Check out more great photography from cmiper here.
Update: A commentor notes that Speedy here is actually geotagged in Massachusetts and Not Rhode Island. Damn, that’s one fast snail. I can’t believe he made his way from Rhode Island to Massachusetts already!
Kris Kros has some of the most amazing images and one of the best photographic eyes. He’s also recently started a blog that you can check out here. He is also one of the finest HDR photographers out there today and produces some truly striking and vivid images. The beauty of his work though has as much to do with the composition of his images pre processing as his final post production process. Truly outstanding work and a Zooomr portfolio you will want to keep an eye on. Thanks for joining Zooomr Joe!
Update: Kris Kros was featured in the New York Times today.
Great news everyone! It seems that a search for “Zooomr OR Zoomr” on Google displays over one million results. Here’s the screenshot:

Thomas and I certainly appreciate everyone who has blogged about us since, well, ever. As well as everyone else who has made Zooomr into what it is today.
Thank-you.

Hi Everyone, I’ve been busy fixing some post2.0 glitches including smartset errors.
Anywho, I wanted to let people know that a better designed merge system is in the works and people who have always had OpenIDs, who have been experiencing problems will have their issues auto-corrected when this patch goes to production.
More as it becomes available.
Thanks,
Kristopher Tate
Hey folks, I know there were some glitches with OpenID merging, so I spent most of yesterday talking with my colleagues on the OpenID front as long as working-out possible recovery scenarios.
Don’t worry, we’ve got your backs — I just want to make sure I get everything perfect so future problems do not occur.
Thanks,
Kristopher
Thomas posted a little while back that we’re giving free Pro accounts to Bloggers. And, well, we still are — to be quite frank, it’s going very well.
But, Thomas and I have been thinking lately about rewarding bloggers further. So, we’re announcing today that we’re giving any blogger around (that includes our LiveJournal, Xanga and MySpace buddies too!) free 2.5GB Pro Accounts. That folks is the ability to transfer over 1700 photos per month to Zooomr for free.
So, what’s the skinny on all of this?
1) Sign-up for a free Zooomr account:

2) Upload at least one photo to get things started:

3) Find and copy the handy blog post code we provide by clicking on “All Sizes” and then proceeding to copy said handy code:

4) Post the handy code to your blog and make sure that your new Zooomr accompanied post has your photo from Zooomr on it.
5) Here’s the magic part: claim your blog on Zooomr’s Proitizer page by entering-in your blog post’s URL:

6) Enjoy your new-found 2.5GB/mo. Zooomr Pro account.
As always, please comment if any issues come-up and I can manually take-care of some problems that may occur.
Thanks,
Kristopher Tate
