Thanks to all of you who came out last night for our first official Zooomr meetup. Kris and I had a great time. It was great seeing familar faces and making new friends as well. This photo here is of jUploadr developer Steve Cohen. Steve’s developed a pretty kick ass bulk uploader and is working on having a Zooomr ready one which should be due out here in the future.

After our meetup we took some shots along the Embarcadero. You can check out mine with a tag search for SFZooomr0629. If you came to the meetup last night feel free to tag your shots SFZooomr0629 as well and they’ll come up through the link as well.

For those of you who were there but I didn’t get your email address last night feel free to shoot me an email at tom (at) thomashawk.com and I will make sure you get your free Zooomr Pro account. A great time and looking forward to doing another one of these soon.

Come join us this Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Taylor’s Automatic Refresher in San Francisco’s Ferry Building. It’s one of those rare places in SF that actually sells PBR beer, has wi-fi, and interesting people to shoot of course (this would mean you). Bring your camera, your laptop, your prints, your tripod, and anything else that you think might be interesting to share. For those who want to stick around afterwards we can do some shooting along the Embarcadero.

Everyone who shows up gets a free Zooomr Pro account!
RSVP at upcoming.org for the meetup now. Hope to see you there.

Wednesday was the longest day of the year here in San Francisco and today is pretty hot too. As much fun as this heat can be sometimes it’s nice to look back at the beauty of winter.

Just letting everyone know that I have arrived safely into Portland, Oregon! The JanRain guys have been really nice to me — we even went out to a pretty awesome restaurant near-by their office.

More info as it becomes available,

“what is fubuki?

fubuki is japanese for snowstorm. in cryptanalysis, the most effective mode of foiling an eavesdropper is not to devise the most impenetrable code, but to skew the signal to noise ratio so that neither the real content nor context of your data can be interpreted.”

And a whole heck of a lot more. You can read about it here to figure it out.

Welcome to Zooomr Ty Siscoe! Thanks for joining us!
