I know this restriction might help to get registrations. But it would be still nice to be able to leave comments if you are not loged in. Users could switch this feature on or of. After doing some research from the beta.zooomr.com/about in google's cache, it definately appears that there are multiple servers. He's got a reverse proxy going (I'm assuming it's for beta.zooomr.com). So there is definitely more than one box, but it could also be for the database server(s).
