Zooomr 2 Debut at SFWIN
Hi again everyone!
The awesome people behind SFWIN (Chris Law, Nova Spivack and Shannon Clark) have agreed to allow me to demo Zooomr once again at their event. (Thanks guys!)
I have decided to debut Zooomr 2 at this event and I would appreciate if everyone who is interested might swing-by to see Zooomr 2 first hand.
When is this shindig?
When: April 13th, 2006 at 6p
Where: Adobe of SF (Formerly Macromedia)
Be sure to RSVP immediately to receive priority and to reduce the entrance fee.
Hope to see you there!

Boy would I love to jet down there from my humble abode in WA but, alas, work would probably frown a bit on that! So I assume that Zooomr 2 should be unveiled to the masses to use soon?? (At LEAST roll out the album/sets functionality please!!
Thanks and I wish you the best on another demo!

Hm… I guess if I’d thought about the word DEBUT a bit more perhaps I would have my answer already!!

Heh, not quite clear enough for me :).
So will Zooomr 2 be made publically available at the same time? Looking forward to it!

Although it seems to have gone very quiet all of a sudden…
What happened to Zooomr 2?

Don’t really know where else to send a bug report, but my photos seem to have become unlinked, but works fine if I am logged in. Basically, my last pic is from 4/9 on the public page, lists me with 105 photos. But if I log on, all of my photos are there and I’m listed as having 132 photos. The “people” url shows them ok, but the photos link does not.
Also, any pics I post do not show on the recent page, and if I geotag any, they don’t show on recent geotagged paged either.

Maybe you accidentaly put them as private? That would certainly explain it.

Hi Kristopher, your Zooomr rocks. I’m looking to replace my self hosted setup of Coppermine with an awesome photo hosting service. Got pointed in the direction of flickr a few months ago, thing is they lack new stuffs. Found out about Zooomr a week or two ago, I love this thing, I want a pro account so I can start massive uploads. Two problems I’ve got before I’m going to do that.
1. I can’t make photo albums/groups/sets. I thought I could just fix this by linking about to a tag search that’ll apply for all the photos in that “group” but it only displayed 20ish with no next page button.
2. I can’t find a link to buy a pro account!
Don’t want to sound like a jerk who wants stuff all the time, but if I’m about to pay/get attached to a photo service, I want it to be the right awesome one.

What’s happened?
No new blog posts since April 11; no sign of Zooomr 2.

will zooomr 2 FINALLY implement a self-contained login system rather than the clunky third party attached one there is now? it’s the major deficit so far with this service

Don’t see the problem with logins. OpenID works pretty well, especially since I’ve got my lj ID setup with my domain. Nothing like using your own domain for a login.

There could be better uploading tools. I hate the one-by-one upload. It makes it kinda hard when you want to upload 20+ pictures.
The email upload kinda sucks too. It will only post the FIRST picture that is attatched, the rest are ignored. Even if the upload were in flash or java would be easier since you just do a drag-and- drop.
