SuperPD (and it is super!)

SuperPD Logo Not too long ago, I introduced PD (Progressive Digitizr) Technology. What did PD do? Well, it basically checked to see if a photo was taken with a 2MP or higher camera and made sure that we digitized it correctly.

What does Super PD do? Sooo glad you asked. Super PD now makes things waayy more crisp — It’s designed to make photos look as fresh as possible — much like a crisper does for vegetables inside of a refrigerator. :)

But, of course, words don’t do a photo justice, so here’s a 2-UP comparison (Super PD is on the left):

Check it out for yourself on the Recent Photos page.

Anyway, there are a lot of other cool things that have been going on under complete silence. We’ve got an API almost out the door and some other happenings with a certain online printing service :)

Until the next post,

Kristopher Tate

    A few suggestions

    1) Have the photo catalogue open automatically so you can click on to the next photo in the person’s stream, its freakin annoying having to click the little + every time.

    2) Automatically go to the large photo when you click the all sizes link. Since thats the only reason I ever click that link, it just wastes a click.

    3) Folders/sets! much needed. it’d also be nice if you could browse the photos with a certain tag from just one user instead of everyone.

    4) A link to my pictures that doesnt take 2 clicks to get to.

    Keep up the good work!

Hi Skez, and thanks for your suggestions!

    Here are some answers:

    1) Will be done in the next hour.
    2) Ditto.
    3) Some slick, slick stuff is on its way in this department. :)
    4) What did you have in mind?

    Thanks,

    -Kris

Kris, I sent you a new update to the portuguese translation on your email, but I didn’t see you got the .txt file on zooomr yet.

And some sugestions: Maybe some tag managering… on little photos with checkboxes, to select those that I want to change the tag, for example.

    Thanks

    Hey, Kristopher, slick stuff indeed!
I really can’t wait for the whole sets/folders thing. Should be awesome. Also, I was wondering if it is possible to add more than 1 photo to the exact same geotag?

    Thanks, Paradox.

As for the GeoTag in one location stuff, I’m pretty sure I’ve got it nailed down — just running it through QA testing.

Mm. On my calibrated display SuperPD looks ugly as hell. Oversharped.

Please, try to test your sharping and resizing algorithms on different displays :) Low and high ends of both LCD and CRT will probably do.

[…] Zooomr does not (yet) support sets. It’s on their todo, they promised. I just don’t see it yet. […]

[…] I’ve tweaked our awesome SuperPD image pre-processor to make it both faster at processing images and also making images look even more clear. […]
